We are excited to announce that our Founder and Principal Attorney, Mary Scott’s biography has been published in the 2020-2021 edition of Who’s Who in American Women. Since 1898, Marquis Who’s Who has been the standard publication for featuring an exclusive community of accomplished professionals.
This series, Who’s Who of American Women, showcases women of influence in America and was designed to feature female professionals who are selected based on strict criteria including proven leadership, achievement, and success. To be featured in this series, Mary Scott had to demonstrate a higher level of leadership, expertise in the field of law, a dedication to her clients and the communities she serves in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach, and throughout Northeast Florida.
Since starting her firm in 2017, Mary Scott has remained committed to helping her clients achieve results. Her core practice areas include business litigation, real estate litigation, civil litigation, and trial work. Before starting Mary Scott Law, she previously worked for high profile litigation law firms including Fowler White Boggs; Grabbell & Russell; Henderson Keasler Law; and Joseph & Marees.
Her Approach, Background & Community Involvement Lead to This Feature
Ms. Scott was first attracted to law after taking business courses during her college studies and decided to pursue law school as opposed to pursuing a business degree. Her success comes from her family’s encouragement of education and being taught to think critically at a young age.
As a Business and Civil Litigation Attorney, for 17 years, Ms. Scott has achieved success in the courtroom with complex civil and business litigation matters. Her core practice areas include civil litigation, business litigation, real estate litigation, and trial work.
Ms. Scott carefully selects every client relationship to ensure the best possible outcomes can be achieved for every person that works with her firm. She excels at critical thinking and takes an open-minded approach to every case, custom tailoring her legal strategies to every client. She believes in working directly with every client and prides herself on being responsive, trustworthy, detail oriented, efficient, and reliable.
She serves on the Board for the Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association and Human Rights Committee. She is a past President of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association, where she was recognized by the Florida Association of Women Lawyers for her contributions to field of law. Since 2009, she has maintained a membership with the Meninak Club that focuses on youth development and providing “help where none is available.” Sitting on the junior achievement committee and charity project committee, she finds great reward in helping the organization provide $40,000 in grants annually to various charities in the Northeast Florida region.
